ABOUT
David Markley is a Director, DP, and Photographer, known for his distinctive viewpoint and attention to detail when telling compelling stories. His assignment experiences have led to collaborations with: artists, musicians, pythons, alligator wrestlers, comedians, dancers, brewers, taxidermists, children, athletes, funeral directors and executives. He has travelled the world with his camera in search for the next story to tell.
David developed his visual style while pursuing a Finance career in London. His previous positions have included: Dog Walker, Machinist, Accountant, Courier, Clay Pigeon Setter, Security Guard, Loan Officer, Maitre d’ and Handbag Buyer. Later, he became an Apprentice for advertising and editorial photographers from Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and New York.
His work has appeared in and been recognized by: The Emmy’s, Communication Arts Photography Annual, Food & Wine, Food Network Magazine, Village Voice Media, The Ad Fed Show, AIGA and Graphis. He currently sits on the Advisory Board of Minneapolis Community and Technical College Visual Arts Department.

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also studied Film Production and Photography at Minneapolis Community & Technical College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
